Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Omview is a product of Cat-Angel (“Cat-Angel”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information in connection with the Omview marketing website (https://omview.care) and the Omview application, in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you interact with Omview, we may collect:

• Observation data — daily ratings, notes and check-ins submitted by parents, teachers, caregivers and children.
• Standardised assessment scores captured through the Assessment Hub (e.g. SNAP-IV, BRIEF-2, SDQ).
• Notes and messages submitted by observers or clinicians.
• Device tokens, used to deliver daily notification reminders.
• Contact details submitted through website forms — name, email, practice or school name, and message content.
• Basic, cookieless analytics about website usage (see Section 5).

3. Who can access it

Access to observation and assessment data is limited to:

• The account owner (typically a parent or guardian).
• Observers explicitly assigned by the account owner (e.g. a teacher or caregiver), limited to their own observation window.
• Clinicians explicitly assigned to the child's care.
• Cat-Angel staff, only where necessary for platform maintenance, support or security, and subject to internal confidentiality obligations.

4. How long we retain it

Data submitted through the Omview application is retained for as long as the associated account remains active. Upon account closure, associated personal information is deleted from active systems automatically, subject to any residual backup retention period required for security or legal purposes. Data submitted through website contact forms is retained only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry.

5. Cookies and analytics

The Omview website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect or store personal data about individual visitors. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or cross-site tracking technology. Because no cookies are set for analytics purposes, no cookie consent banner is required for this site.

6. Children's data

Omview processes observation data relating to children as part of its clinical purpose. A child's profile may only be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian, who provides consent on the child's behalf in line with POPIA's provisions for the processing of children's personal information. Where a child directly contributes a check-in (for example, a bedtime check-in), this occurs within an account already under guardian control and consent.

7. Data residency and security

Application data is stored on EU-based infrastructure (Frankfurt, via Supabase), with technical and organisational measures in place to protect it against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. This marketing website itself is static, collects no application data, and does not connect to the Omview backend.

8. Requesting deletion or access

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, email hello@omview.care . We will respond within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with POPIA.

10. Reporting a breach or complaint
